why can we fall in love with the person who cannot love us back

The person least involved in the realtionship has the most control.
I think it has to do with trying to win someone over. The mating dance would not be so much fun if you won the person over right away, now would it?
Sometimes you just cannot control how someone feels for you, but you love them.

Several things: Will not love back, or can 't love back?
Maybe she's waiting for a more direct sign from you that you would like to get ot know her.
I think this is probably happening to you right now. Later relationships DO work out. My husband and I have been married almost 37 years ago. In that time, tragedy after tragedy has brought us closer. The good things too, of course.
A good relationship is a give and take thing. Each party must learn to accept the other's ways of coping.
Having an open mind is a must!
Don't make assumptions.
Be impeccable with your word.
Don't take it personally.
Always do your best.
