I am 19, have been dating my bf for 4 years, and still a virgin... everyone thinks that this is hard to believe and does not believe either of us that we have not done the deed. everytime we deny it, they will roll their eyes or say something like "yeah sure"...it kindof bothers me for some reason. Why wont anyone believe me?

I get that, too. But I don't have a partner and never have, so it's probably easier to believe than your situation. I think that the reason people don't believe you is that the average person has no self-control whatsoever. When it comes to satisfying their sex-drive, 95 percent of post-childhood humans are totally without will power. Also, there are many definitions of "sex". If I had to put money on this, I'd bet you guys get each other off SOMEHOW, maybe not through intercourse, but something. Just for the record, I don't believe you, either. And that would piss me off if I were you, too. But who gives a **** what other people think? I have the utmost in respect for people who don't engage in sexual intercourse. If it IS true- you're awesome, girl! I love people that only do things they have the desire to do, when they know they can handle the consequences. Yay you! And him.

It's because people believe what they want instead of believing the truth. Just because their behavior dwells between immoral and indecent doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. At any rate, you and your boyfriend owe these people no explanation whatsoever and this topic shouldn't be open to a general discussion. If they are so presumptuous and act like ignorant fools as to intrude into your personal affairs, simply tell them that none of this is any of their business, then change the subject and walk away. You can try to educate a fool but you can never make him think and against stupidity, the Lord Himself is helpless.

Because now in days people loose there virginity at a young age and it hard for them to believe that you are a virgin, when you have been with your boyfriend for 4 years.

No one will believe you because ourr society lacks any sense of a moral code. It is unfathomable for them to see that some people don't need to have sex to stay together. I however want to congratulate you! Wait till your married. This is a huge definition of you character and I salute you!

None of anyone else's business but you and your BF. When the subject comes up just smile and say maybe,, maybe not.. then change the subject. It is not your problem they don't believe you..

for starters i want to commend you for waiting. and secondly.... its not really their business or not whether you have had sex yet and it doesnt matter if they believe you. whats right is that you made a committment to yourself and you have stayed true. congrats and keep going honey.
