Yes,it's true. The summer after my first year of college I spent a week at church camp. I had so much fun and met so many wonderful people that I went with no sleep for the first three days. I had to leave a class because I was seeing black and white spirals and numbers and it was just really weird. I went to my cabin and laid down and felt like the room was spinning around me. I saw a lot of things, but I don't remember what they were exactly, I just remember being freaked out.

I've done a few drugs in my life I admit. I once stayed up for 8 days and nights on speed and a lot of weird things happen to your body and mind. It pretty much makes you insane. I wish I would have written an essay or something while the sleep deprivation was in full swing because it would be a pretty entertaining rambling and the cornerstone of a good anti drug campaign.
I forgot to mention (even though it is pretty obvious) that I wouldn't recommend it.

Wrong section.
But yes.
Once I was tripping on amphetamines for a few days, and at the end of the weekend had a 6 hour drive home. I kept stopping my car on the freeway because I thought bunny-bear hybrids were running across it.
Starting at 3 days awake it can happen.
Awake more than ten days and you'll die.

I thought it was just mental illness to hear the voice of God
but it turns out religious scripture was written by people who took drugs like magic mushrooms.
It was probably quite popular. They had no television.

I've tried it and had really crazy nightmares.
Sometimes you feel like you're watching yourself, as in a hallucination. Sometimes, you feel really really itchy all over.
Maybe you just have to try it yourself. =)

Yep. I've tried it as an experiment. What is really freaky is you can't get to sleep either.

Yes it is. Your brain needs sleep and will "dream" while you are awake if it doesn't get the sleep it needs.
