haha i like how you included "not all" in your question.

but i do agree with you to some extent; if a man and a woman were asking the same question, hers would probably be longer. the reason for that is women read more into situations, while men take them at face value. women look for "hidden meanings" and men just take things as they come. in a nutshell, us women are complex

haha. i am one of those "women who ask questions on YA then write a whole story." like a person previously said, i do it so that i can get really good and specific answers.

for example, if i just wrote "why did my boyfriend not meet me at the movies? ...he said he would meet me and he didn't! what do i do?" people really have no idea what i'm talking about and won't be able to give good answers. on the other hand, if i describe the situation in great detail, people are more apt to give mor fulfuilling answers.

Its because men think that they don't need to put in the details, that people on YA will understand what they're asking without needing them.

Women, on the other hand, think that unless they explain every detail, people on YA won't understand as thoroughly.

I don't think it has anything to do with emotions- just how men and women think.

well women have lots of emotions. more then a boy can hold that's for sure, and the only way to make them feel better is by writing it all down, and seeing if someone can help them with it. and lots of guys can write novels too. ya boys have the emotinal range of a teaspoon most of the times but not all.

i don't think that's really true; i've seen long ones and shorts ones from both men and women. and i doubt it has anything to do with being emotional; men are just as emotional as women, they might just show it differently.

i dont think its because you're any less emotional, but i do think you have trouble expressing exactly how you feel. girls often have hear-to-hearts, where they gush everything about how theyre feeling about everything good or bad, and talk about it. when guys talk about things that are bothering them, its almost like a sign of weakness and is not often done. also, i think guys just like to get straight to the point. they have a question, they want an answers, and thats that.

most girls think that every detail is neccisary for anyone to get the jest of what the real answer to their question might be. also women tend to freak out over stuff mor so their questions are more complex so they have longer stories with their questions.
