Yeshua (Jesus) was G-d in the flesh. He made that clear when He said that He and the Father are one and also said that when you saw Him you had seen the Father. Yeshua was G-d the Son, second in the trinity.

The Council of Trent held by Constantine decided whether or not Jesus was God or the son of God. It also decided other key issues in Christianity because there was quite a debate at the time. It also decided which writings to disregard (Mary Magdalene). No one knew for sure because there were no writings from when Jesus was alive. The disciples did not write anything until about 100 years after Jesus's birth. This was because they believed the end of times was inevitable.

Seems that Bible says Jesus is God: “ I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30) . And the Jews seemed to think so: ' ... for this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God'.(John 5:18).
