When an ambulance is directly behind you, the word ambulance is readable in your rear view mirror! This is so you can see that the vehicle behind you with the flashing red lights and siren is an emergency vehicle, and not just an ice cream vendor tying to get attention!
Emergency vehicles need all the help they can get! People need to pay attention and get the heck out of the way.
