Have you ever been in a situation where you pray, seek and knock but there is no answer? What can I do? how can I move on? I was in mission field for a while and after I came back to the state, I've been searching for a job because I was thinking that I would go into ministry later so I was looking for job in a meanwhile. I've been searching for a job for past five months but it was hard to find and I was offered like two job but something blocked me from taking it. When I try to talk to my parents about going into ministry that I want, parents are saying "No" and that I should save up money for now. If God seems to be silent on ministry or finding me a job, what can I do? I seem so lost on which direction to go now. What can I do? how can I restore my health? spiritually, phyically, emotinally? how do I know which direction to go if God seems silent on both ways? how can I really restore passion and direction? any suggestion? could you pray for me if you read this? Thank you.

Accept the reality of life and dismiss all false gods - that means ALL gods - from your mentality.
Then, strike out in a new direction.
Prayer is pointless - get off your sorry butt and DO something yourself. You are the only help you will get.

I can only share my personal experience with prayer- so I hope it encourages you. I have been praying for God to heal me from a chronic disease for years, that causes me pain every day. However, God has not answered that prayer, yet. So one day I asked God why He did not take away the pain- and God answered that one almost immediately- because in your pain you can learn to demonstrate my grace and strength, and be able to share with others who seem to not have their specific prayers answered. Remember that God does answer, yes, no or wait. When you were offered two jobs- what blocked you from taking them? Do you think it was God, or yourself? I will pray for you, of course, but I do have one suggestion- God wants you know His will- whether it be a ministry or job or both. I cannot tell you why God is seemingly being silent- but I can tell you, believe even in His silence He is still at work- and the greatest work He may be doing right now, is not giving you a job or a ministry, but He may be building you and growing you. This is not always fun, but I can tell you when I realized that God wanted me submissive to Him, and my faith to grow, through my illness, I have learned to be thankful in all circumstances- NO I am not thankful for the pain- I actually cried tonight, because I hurt so badly, however in that process I have learned of God's grace , strength and provision. Does that help?

Have some faith. God answers prayers in His time, not ours. You have to do the footwork, by keeping on looking for a job. If you want to go into the ministry, that is your choice. You need to go to school for that. Check into colleges for it and find aide to help pay the tuition. Read the bible daily. Pray. Wait for God's answers. God is infinite, we are finite. He knows what's best, and we should pray for His will, not ours to be done.

There are so many stories in the bible that can help you build your faith again. Don't feel like you are the only one that goes through these dry deserts. God is moving in your behalf, I believe when we feel a silence in our lives is when God is watching our motives, he wants to know our sincerity and if this is what you are really wanting in life, is this a ministry dedicated to him, these are the things God is watching for. Don't forget that if he set his people free, they are free indeed. read the book of Abraham & Sarah it may be what you need. Follow your Father's instructions and let God do the rest.

Sit quietly, meditate a little to clear your mind and your heart, then listen to your gut. It'll tell you what you need to know; it'll tell you your bliss. Then follow your bliss. When you do what you truly love you'll hear God rooting you on.
