Of course. In fact, we consider the less successful 'religions' like paganism and the druids, and Greco-roman beliefs as mythology. These were contemporary with these beliefs. It would be incorrect to not categorize them as mythology .
Scholars have proven that Christianity is a myth, as its similarities with with pagan beliefs, and its adoption of said beliefs is well laid out in the history of Christianity.
Moreover, ancient literary scholars, who analyze biblical texts, I can't comment on myself, as my ancient greek, which one should be reading the bible in to actual try and understand its original meaning, is not up to a high standard, point out the marked similarities and patterns between Christian works, and their competing philosophies and religions in roman times. later roman times when Christianity was formed.

By the actual definitions of mythology:
"a set of stories, traditions, or beliefs associated with a particular group or the history of an event, arising naturally or deliberately fostered"
and
"The body of myths belonging to a culture. Myths are traditional stories about gods and heroes. They often account for the basic aspects of existence — explaining, for instance, how the Earth was created, why people have to die, or why the year is divided into seasons."
then yes, whether or not you believe the myths are true.

No, I don't believe so. I believe that somewhere there is God what God looks like or what God is I don't know. I do believe Jesus was the king of the Jews but the direct son of God given birth too by a virgin, I doubt it. And Mohammad should have put a bit more thought into what he did and said, as many people believe he was Satan in disguise.
So basically what I'm saying is that God I believe is here but as for religion that are meant to enforce his laws and way of life I believe are false(myth).

It is just your opinion that God is a myth. And you have a right to your opinion, But don't expect others to have the same opinion. Categorize it in your head any way you want to, but even Yahoo, knows where to put it. In R&S. So they don't agree with you either.

Religions are more than mythology. Some of the documents and 'scriptures' can be seen as mythology, but that's only a part of religion. And some religions, like Judaism, it's not even a big or important part.

Actually mythology simply refers to the study of how a religion came to be, and usually has a factual basis but not necessarily.

Mythology is usually woven around some kernal of fact. Religion more properly belongs on a list of quack remedies.

Anything you can't prove with the knowledge you have is a myth. Some myths are derived from truth.

People refer to viking religion as Norse Mythology, the same as the Greeks.
You can if you want, but i won't assure you that you'll be correct.

You can categorize Christianity as mythology if you choose, but you'd be inaccurate. But then, you've probably been wrong about a few things in life, haven't you? Most of us have been.
