To attain spiritual understanding, one must think abstractly. People with low IQ are usually concrete thinkers.

I think it may have something to do with how well someone may be able to rationalize spiritual experiences and put them into language, but a lower IQ would not mean an inability to have spiritual experiences; in fact, there is no real need to put spiritual experiences into language, nor does it seem possible if you believe that people like Buddha and Jesus were enlightened men, considering their teachings varied so radically in many ways.

Nothing.Anybody can understand spiritual things because it is led by the spirit, that is how we gain any knowledge of The bible and God.One must frist want to be led then study and pray over it and you will begin to have understanding of the true meaning, not just a literal one as in just reading it.Great question!

Nothing.........all we have is "common sense", all human think....all of us have a consciousness....that differentiate us from animals.
Intelligence......is measured by IQ tests,
Believes.......no measurable....a matter of faith.....spiritual.
Probably a high IQ makes you more reasonable person, but that's not enough for religion......because for religion "the love...and faith" (feelings) is most.

Girl, have you ever taken an IQ test?
How do you exactly measure intelligence?
-by one's vocabulary
-knowledge
-common sense
-???
If your "IQ" can means that you can feel then no that's not intelligence.

Let me summarize every answer that's gonna come in for this: "It's low if you belong to [group I disagree with] and/or it's high if you belong to [group I agree with]!"
EDIT: Actually, I've been pleasantly surprised how little of that has come up! Guess I was wrong for the most part. Though not entirely. Yeah, the rest of you know who you are.
