Well, if nobody but god has any authority in our lives, then no one has any authority in our lives.
Mankind has every right to question itself and its members.

well, pretty much the same one we have now. the wealthy would find a way to govern the less powerful and die before they gave up even a small vestige of their power. that is how the world works, because an alarming amount of people are power-hungry and brain-dead, which it turns out is a horrible combination fo things to be. just imagine a world with one less way to rise to power. there would be no religious leaders, and at least some small number of people would lose power. it would be good, in my opinion.

I think that's very unfair. What you're saying is that it's impossible for an atheist to be moral. I don't think that's right at all. We all have consciences. We all have a sense of right and wrong, of morality and ethics. We might not all agree, but we all have an idea. Someone who is completely 'amoral' is considered a deviant, and will probably spend most of his life in jail.
If you're a theist you might say that this conscience comes from God, that he designed it into us, or whatever. If that's true, then obviously it isn't necessary to -believe- in God to be moral. Or to believe in -your- God.

Good question.
No God? It makes me wonder if man would be the dominant species. For lack of inspiration, lack of self-control, lack of intellectual curiosity tempered by a kind heart (soul), I would think homosapiens would self-destruct.

Morality and authority do not come from God or the Bible now, so nothing would be different.

Surely culture will dictate our lives. Remember, religion is just part of culture. When large groups of people collaborate, they tend to formulate a set of rules (explicit or non-explicit) to establish order.

What do you mean man kind doesn't have the right to question man kind? The only "thing" that does have that right is man kind. Jury of your peers?

Well there would be no world because there would be no God to create it. There would be no life because there would be no God to breathe it. This thought has little weight... but I think that was your whole point.
