I don't think that we would be here if this had already taken place.
2Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
Revelations 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

There is a Little more to it then saying a women got pregnant and told every one that God put it there and that the son grew up to say He was the Son of God and every one believed Him. That is why we always stress reading the whole Bible. The old testament fore tells of the things that would happen, and there were witnesses to the miracles of Jesus. And the reason nobody would believe it to day, is because when Jesus returns, there is no way that every body will not know. He won't becoming the way He did before, and there will be no doubt of who He is when He does return.

Well obviously you don't watch to much news. Do you remember Waco? David Karesh told all his followers he was christ. There is a man in Miami who has about a thousand followers who claims he is the christ.
I know that Christ has not come yet because all of us Christians are still here. You see the Bible is clear that before His return that the Church is going to be taken into Heaven.
When Christ does truly return after the Great Tribulation, all people will know.
Matthew 24:27 "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Those that believed then, Believed because they had searched the Scriptures, and new what to look for, same as we know that Jesus presence, is already here!
(Matthew 24:3-22) 3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” 4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. 15 “Therefore, when YOU catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, (let the reader use discernment,) 16 then let those in Ju·de′a begin fleeing to the mountains. 17 Let the man on the housetop not come down to take the goods out of his house; 18 and let the man in the field not return to the house to pick up his outer garment. 19 Woe to the pregnant women and those suckling a baby in those days! 20 Keep praying that YOUR flight may not occur in wintertime, nor on the sabbath day; 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

First of all, this millennium stuff is bunk.
When the return happens the dead will arise out of the graves and there will be a great judgment, in which people go either to heaven or hell (none of this mark junk, like the Left Behind series, that's bogus interpretation of the Bible, false doctrine).
The earth will literally be burned up. Oh, we'll know, as we'll all stand before the throne of God, and either be in heaven or hell, there won't be any not knowing.

I know for a fact that Christ has not come back, because if He did, I would not be here writing an answer to this question, I would be worshiping Him face to face, and you would have already bowed to His Lordship - because that day EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER. I can tell you the greatest joy is bowing now.
If someone does say they are Christ, know that there are many anit-christs that will come before Christ's second coming. I am ready for Him, are you?

in the Bible, it was predicted that Jesus will come. It was not that some Lady said that God put the baby in her.John the Baptist was sent earlier to make way for the Christ.
Jesus' second coming will be the end of all mankind. We all will know. Many false Prophets had come & gone.
