Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.-1 John 4:7-16

Gumby, Gumby...
There is a special love that Christians have for one another. We are to love non-Christians, too...and even our enemies. Yet, I do not call you an enemy. I don't even know you. But I can still bleed with love for you. Do you believe Muslims have the same inheritance as you, as a Mormon? Of course not. So which is more loving: to ignore the difference and allow your Muslim friend to go to hell...or to share the truth? Christians and Mormons do not share the same inheritance. For me to point this out is loving. I would have you read this:
http://www.carm.org/lds/lds_christian.htm
Mormons I have met have often been more faithful to the obedience of the Bible than many "Christians" I know. BUT, the big difference is that heaven is not reserved for those who are 'good and obedient"...it is reserved for those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. This by grace through faith. Teaching something otherwise is just false.

Gumby:
My question obviously had nothing to do with Mormons, but obviously the Lord is working here. There are many in Christian churches (Protestant and Catholic) who will go to hell, and there are some Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses that will go to heaven. No person believes exactly as their organization believes - certainly, we can agree on this. But if you are saved as a Mormon, it is no because you are Mormon, but rather despite what the official teaching of the Mormon church is. Again, in love...I point you here:
http://www.carm.org/lds/lds_christian.htm
And feel free (you, and any other Mormon) to email me personally, to discuss these difficult truths more fully.
Again, the Gospel is a message of hope, grace, and love...from God to ALL. I am but a messenger, like a mailman. God, as judge, knows your heart. I cannot "see" the heart of any other person. Only God can see the heart. And Romans 10:5-17 stands.
In love, grace and peace in Christ!
