Use things connected to your theme. Perhaps names of tropical islands?

You don't mention where.....but table names should be kept to one or two words tops.

You can name them after tropical fruits: Passion, Mango, Key Lime......

Name them after tropical animals: parrot, lizard.....

I've planned weddings where each table was just a color theme. For instance instead of having the whole wedding be a few colors you might have each table a tropical color....like an aqua table, then a white table, then a yellow table....

Famous tropical places: Jamaica, Hawaii, Carribean....

With a tropical wedding I would use tropical names, such as names of islands. (ex. Barbados, Antigua, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, St. Thomas). Also, you can mix it up by using names of resorts or famous landmarks. Good Luck.

I love the idea of different tropical cities and flowers!

My advice to people who name tables:
If you are having a large reception, please have a diagram of which table is where! Once I spent 20 minutes looking for "Paris" It got very frustrating! :)

You could use names of tropical flowers like:

African Moon
Alpine Aster
Blue Jacaranda
Passion Flower etc.

Or instead of just Hawaiian islands you can name them after various tropical places like
Carribbean
Costa Rica
St Lucia
Maui
Barbados

Or you could name them as if they are cruise ships:
Adventures of the Sea
Sea Princess
Tropical Star
Queen of the Sea

I used this site as a guide and made up my own cruise ship names
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cruise_ships

Or you can name them after tropical fruit like:
Coconut
Mango
Banana
Guava
Passion fruit

Sounds like fun! Good luck!

Names of the hawaiian islands or hawaiian cities...
Ex: Islands: Oahu, Hawaii, Lanai, Kauai, Molakai, Maui

Cities: Kona, Waikiki, Honolulu, Lihue, Hilo

different islands might be a neat way of incorporating your theme into the table names.
I am thinking (for the moment) of using Stephen King novels to name my wedding tables at my halloween-themed wedding.

You could go with island names, such as St. Thomas, La Croix, Hawaii, etc. Or mix names with things found at these islands, such as beaches, names of different tropica drinks (mai tai, pina colada), hotel names, etc.

Andrew
Katrina
Wilma

...

No no, I'm just kidding!

What about troppical flowers? And if you are doing flower centerpieces you could have that flower (or a replica) in the center piece?
(You could do that same idea, but with fruit.)

Good Luck!
