For Mike 1942. Follow up question, the iron oxide is not magnetite so it wont work in magnetic separation.?

For Technical People in silica processing, how would you separate iron oxide (non magnetite) from silica. Will it work on centrifugal separation with air or water medium?

Either an acid or a reducing agent would dissolve the iron oxide so that it could be rinsed away.
