First off, I am going there for 6 days to visit my best friend from high school that moved out there. She has work and cant get the time off, so I am going by myself.

She is of course mad that I am going, but then she said started to act normal towards me, NOW she is saying that if I go to any casinos, shows, or hotels that she will be mad.

My question is, since she is already mad should I just go and do whatever I want and have fun or not go and do things that I want to do to TRY to make her happy, even though when I get back you KNOW she will still be mad no matter what.

never use "she's already mad!" as an excuse, that's just a surefire way to get into more trouble. but she's being a little silly about this. sit her down and talk to her about what you're going to do there.

1) casinos. you might want to say, "i'm gonna spend this much at the casino, and that's all."
2) shows are EXPENSIVE. if you're going to go to a show, and it happens to be of the stripping persuasion, i wouldn't tell her. and i'm a girl saying this. but if you're going to see David Copperfield or Cirque, then it's your money, do what you want.
3) hotels. umm...you have to stay in a hotel unless you're staying with your friend. and all the Vegas hotels on the strip have casinos and shows. and if you don't stay in a hotel, it's fun to just go in them and look around anyway! ask her why she's so threatened by a hotel. it's not like you're going to pick up a hooker and take her to the Luxor for the night.

try to make her comfortable with the situation, and explain to her that going to Vegas doesn't mean having tons of sex and gambling all your money away. but at the same time, you're your own person, and as long as you're spending your own money, you can do what you want(within reason).

First of all did you give her enough notice to try to get off work?
Also how would you like it if the situation was switched? Knowing she could be at a casino, show or hotel doing god knows what. That would make you very jealous I assume. So I suggest putting yourself in her shoes. By the way if you do go and it hurts her that much you might not even have a caring girlfriend like that to come home to.

First of all, she is a girlfriend and not a wife, and either way you are entitled to go. My parents take separate vacations sometimes, as their schedules don't always mesh. My ex-hubby and I did too. I think if she is secure in your relationship she should just chill and let you go. You go and have fun, because no matter what the girlfriend is going to be mad, it sounds like. You might want to bring her back a nice gift though!

That's a hard position, i think you should explain things to her. Try something like "i know you are angry that im going to Las Vegas without you but i rile want to go, (insert friends name) is my friend and i want to see her/him. " Than let her have her say, after that tell her that you know she is mad but your going to Las Vegas, you want to have the experience, but that you don't want to feel bad when ever you try to enjoy yourself. See if you can show her through your words that you are sorry she cant come but that you ain't going to your plans for her. Just try not to get into a fight. Best of Luck

Of course it's fair for you to go without her. You should do things that make you happy, too, like visiting your best friend.

She should be happy that you get to see your friend, get to go to VEGAS, get a vacation, etc. I don't see why she wouldn't want you to go whether she can or not...unless she has some sort of trust issue.

Go, enjoy yourself and she will eventually realize that it's not *that* big of a deal.

Go. Enjoy yourself. You should both be able to do some things that don't require the presence of the other person. And if she chooses to vacation without you for some reason, don't be mad.

If you bend to her every whim now, just imagine if you marry her, you won't even be allowed to scratch your butt without her permission, be a man and tell her to grow up and stop being so insecure, or do it the nice way and say "I'm going whether you like it or not, but I will miss you and look forward to seeing you when I get back"

GO!

She shouldn't be mad if you go have some fun, thats just obsurddd! If she really loved you she would let you go have fun. And anyway, you don't need her approval or anything like that to do whatever you wan't, you can decide on your own what to do.

The KEY is to do whatever you want, & tell her the truth. Usually when you tell one the truth, they don't want to believe it, but that's not your problem. Why go to Vegas, if you can't let your hair down & enjoy yourself? You only should worry about these things if you're engaged or married; you're neither, so go & enjoy yourself; next time, I guess she'll go.
