Is it just me or is it the darker you are, the younger you look when you get old??
I saw these two women at target about 30 minutes ago, and looking at them, i thought they were sisters. i thought they were about 30 and 32 years old. they were black. Well, one of them approached me and said that they knew my mom from high school and graduated the same year. i was in shock. my mom is like 55. And she said i met her once at my aunt's funeral. it turns out the one i thought was about 30, which is also the one that approached me, was the other one's mom.
And it's not just that one lady either. I know a lot of OLD black women who look a lot younger than they really are. And I'm not saying 30 to 55 is really old, it's just a lot older than me.

One of the major factor in skin aging in the sun and black people have a lot of protection against the sun. I'm usually pretty good at guessing white people's age, but I can never guess black people's age, especially black women. My girlfriend is black and 39 and doesn't even have a hint of any wrinkles.

It's the melanin (which is what makes us darker) in our skin. It fights against wrinkles and skin aging. Also, I think darker people tend to avoid the direct sun when possible (at least I do). I seek shade whenever I can. I'm a medium-dark brown, and direct sun just gets too hot on my skin.

I've noticed that too. Not in every case, but often Latino and Black people seem to look young longer. I don't see why anyone would be offended by your question.

it ok to like some one older. but to date someone older no more than 10 years older

I have noticed that as well, I don't know why it is, unless all the lotions and creams they use to keep their skin from being dry makes them stay younger looking. :)

Some people just look younger than they are, you should have ask there age, you might have been suprised.

barbara bush looks like she is 42,000 yrs old

It has nothing to do with race, it has to do with taking care of your body and pampering yourself. I see that sort of thing in all races, male and female.
