Growing up i didnt have a bedroom so my parents gave me the wood for a shed and told me that if i wanted it to build it....When my great-grandma passed in 2003 i got her OLD panasonic in wood paneling. It was built in april of 1984. Also i have a 2.2 inch tv and a five inch. With the digital switch will i be able to still get the basic stations?

The five inch was purchased two years ago and the 2.2 inch has been around for about five years.

After midnight on February 17, 2009, you will need converter boxes in order to continue to watch TV on your old TVs. You'll also need antennas if any of the old sets are using built-in antennas. In January of 2008, you can apply for two coupons worth $40 off on two dgital to analog TV converter boxes. The boxes are expected to cost around $60 each before the coupon. Cable will continue to carry the local over the air channels, in analog, until at least 2012, or supply converter boxes.

Update
If the small TV has no connector to bring in any kind of signals, RF, A/V Etc., then there's nothing you can do. Obviously, even if you have a way of connecting an external converter, the portability of the TV will be gone.

The answer depends on how you get your TV signals.

If you get them with an antenna, then you will need a converter box after 2/17/09 to receive TV. Starting in Jan 2008 there will be a coupon program that will let each household buy 2 of them for about $20 each. Without the coupon they will be about $60.

The converters have RF (same as an antenna) & composite outputs. If your two smaller TVs do not have jacks for an external antenna or composite inputs, it is questionable whether you can keep using them with a converter.

Because the RF output on the converter is basically a tiny TV transmitter, you might be able to jury rig something.

There are no special converters for the 2.2" TV.

If you get your TV with analog cable, cable companies must keep supplying the old analog TV signals until at least 2012. They may meet this requirement by requiring to use a cable box rather than using a direct connection to the cable outlet.

Forget it...none of those TV sets will get over the air signals AFTER February 17, 2009....

You'll either want a cable box or you have to buy an OTA converter box if you don't have cable.

The 2.2 inch TV MUST HAVE an antenna INPUT connector to connect those boxes, and my bet is it only has a built in antenna....
