Hey everyonee. I'm running for a class officer for my grade. There are only 5 people who actually get the job...and around 25ish people are running! I'm not the type of person who stands out to people much (super smart, ditz, strange, or popular), I'm just there...in with the crowd. Anyways, I was wondering what are some things that I can do to spread the word? Posters are okay..but still. What should I put in my speech? So far I have stuff like benefiting my school like "strongly speaking my voice and accepting all opinions from my grade" What else should I use? It can't be more than a minute though, so I'll have to narrow it down.

talk about your leadership skills, your ability to get problems solved, your dicision making ability. What is the officer responsible for; what are your duties? That is what your sppech should focus on....with a great opener and closer!! Use a famous quote if you can't think of anything yourself!!

find a topic that will get the voters attention.. tell them your plan to address the problem, and make it good.. tell them if they elect you this is the kind of problem solver you intend to be.. dress well in a way that will inpress the voters..play some cool music like a song from Transformers off the soundtrack. and give away candy the day before the election..

1 if you want classmates to vote for ya, you gotta go to them, speek for them in ways they want to hear it.... Don't come at them like a teacher because we all know how much we love them. but come at them from their point of view, like what will help them with studies or make changes that they will appeal to. and ya posters are ok but, it's what everyone will do. be different stand out and don't be affraid to try new things. jokes are good, music is another good thing, oh and if your going to do this and really want it, then make yourself known!
be seen by everyone and for the guy votes, i say just use food! lol good luck

Include the audience somehow in your speech. Like ask them a question (if you dont think they'll answer, than maybe not) or focus on how their votes are important and whatnot.

offer to put something everyone likes in the water fountains (like favorite soda) if you win. I know you can't really do it, but it sure would make you a lot of friends (and votes) just offering it !!! Good Luck.
