You could try hot oil treatments. Condition always...and try to leave it in your hair for at least a couple minutes before you rinse it out...I have found that Tresemme conditions very well. Don't use as hot of water when you are washing your hair. You can also try the T-gel shampoo (I've never tried that)...and also, don't use any gel or hairspray with alcohol in it. Winter is especially bad for dry scalp because the air is drier. Did your hairdresser suggest anything for you to try?

try using biosilk, silk therapy. You only need a small amount and massage it into your scalp while your hair is still wet. It could also be conditioner build up on your scalp, if you put conditioner on your scalp, it will build up and cause it to be itchy and flaky. If that is the case then use a clarifying shampoo on your hair and make sure that you don't put cream conditioner on your scalp. But the silk therapy is great for dry itchy scalp. You should find it at just about any salon.

the night before you shampoo your hair, use either baby oil or luberderm on your scalp and sleep with it on, and it will shampoo out inthe moring but will help your scalp. Good luck!
