since they built these wonderful pyramids that modern science cannot explain how, i'm sure they had gone pretty far in metaphysic. since soul is one of their beliefs, how do you think they would explain the existence of soul in terms of metaphysic?

well, read the book of the dead, its riddled with "spells" which are no more than strings of incantations that have no effect save a fuzzy feeling inside (for some, not me of course lol). They were used for various mundane things dealing with the transition of the dead from this life to the next.

Well its widely held that "Ancient Egypt" extends from around 2960 BC to right around the birth of Christ. Thats about 3000 years. Christanity is "the new kid on the block" compared to most other religions. Interestingly it spins tails of morality, betrail, death, rebirth, immoratily of the soul and so on. There is more than "the book of the dead" to this system of belief. Knowlege is never lost until its ignored.
