I got two of my bridesmaids bracelet like watches which they wore on the wedding day. One of them still wears hers everyday. My other bridesmaid was a junior (my 11 y/o cousin) and I got her a necklace with her initial on it. She also wore it for the wedding. In addition, I paid for their hair and make-up services the day of the wedding.
My husband got his groomsmen leather money clips with their initials on them. Plus, he gave one a personalized crystal beer mug and the other a personalized crystal brandy glass. They both enjoyed the gifts. His best man begged for some dollars from his wife so he could start using his money clip. :)
Hope this helps you out. I know these things seem like the norm, but they all had Mickey Mouse on them since we got married at Disneyland. Thus, it made them unique to our wedding.

Most brides give the bridemaids jewelry so that theyy all match and have a pretty momento of the occasion. I have some really nice costume jewelry that I've worn a few times! I also was given a matching handbag.
For our groomsmen we gave monogramed money clips. My husband recieved a monogramed collectors pocket knife.

We were pretty practical, but we got the guys fishing poles (as we went on a fishing trip for the bachelor "party") and the women got necklaces and shoes that they wore for the wedding.

We bought the dresses and the tuxes. Trust me, it's the best gift ever. People don't enjoy spending money like that for things they wont ever wear again.

I got all my girls matching inexpensive jewelery. I gave it to them at the rehearsal lunch. When we got back to my parents house (they all slept over that night) I gave them all something special. My husband gave all the guys something different, one even got a digery do!
