If you live close by each other you could ask if she wants to ride together. Especially good if there will be adult beverages involved. If she is bringing someone she would say something then.

just ask her at lunch or morning coffee if she is going.
"Hey _____, are you going to this Christmas Party, I heard its going to be more fun than last year!"
"I sure am _______! Cant Wait"
then maybe the next day...or two after...
"So _____ are you bringing a date to our XMas party?"
"No actually, I was thinking of going alone...more time to mingle with our co-workers"
" Well you know I always feel so awkward sitting and eating by myself, what do you say about going together, Im pretty good at mingleing"
"I'd love to ____ pick me up at 6!"
