Never saw that one in the New Testament. Granted, some people can become so worked up that they THINK the Holy Spirit is telling them to do thus and so, but He didn't have anyone do that in the Bible.

Yes, I agree with you, rolling around on a dirty floor is poor hygiene. So I ask, do YOU think the Holy Spirit would have someone do this?

I have never been told to roll around on a dirty floor. When you are touched by God, you just fall. There is no advance notice of the Holy Spirit telling you.

I did not know what to expect either until I finally was able to experience it myself. The experience is so incredible, and peaceful, you are not thinking about if the floor has been cleaned. You just enjoy it!

If you doubt so much, and mock it, how do you know this is not true? Have you been to a Holy Spirit filled church to see for yourself??

It is so sad to see the power of the Holy Spirit the so many are missing out on.

As far as, would I do it if God told me too, absolutely.

hi there

Here we go ......

I would say yes, if by doing so, The Lord is teaching somebody something.

I can remember that the Holy Spirit once told me to give another person some money. It was not a lot, but when I looked at the person then I realized that this person is very rich and why should I be giving this small amount to her.

Then I realized that the Lord had a reason for me giving her the money and it was later revealed to me that she had pride in her life.

So if the Holy Spirit prompt you to do anything, then be obedient and do it without question.

Take Care

I guess you are talking about what they call "Getting the Holy Ghost".
We are not to be unconscious.....as Jesus was in full control when he was on earth. He wouldn't even take myrrh right before his death to ease the pain because he had to be fully conscience until the end.

The Holy Spirit is a helper. The group at Pentecost 33 CE had the holy spirit poured on them so that they would have courage to preach to the world at that time.

The Apostles had to have gifts in them given by the Holy Spirit to help them in their ministry. They had to talk in foreign languages...heal the sick...preach to the multitudes and the clergy....they were even given the privilege of raising the dead.

But they never rolled on the floor talking gibberish with their eyes rolling back in their heads...What lesson would that have taught?
How could anyone learn of God in that way?

We must take preaching as serious and lifesaving work.
It is a precious privilege to be able to stand before men and speak about Jehovah and to Him also.

I certainly have never been touched by the Holy Spirit to crawl around in the dirt and will never sit in judgement of someone that does but I have to admit I have wondered about people that do such things are they really religious fanatics or did they actually get divine inspiration which I highly doubt but if He inspired me to do it I would...God Bless, happy holidays

No, The HG is always a gentleman. God never has people do say/things they truly can't control @ all. He does things out of the ordinary, that's for sure. But rolling on the floor, like a snake? No, been Apostolic a longtime. I can't say I've done/witnessed any such thing.

Maybe the holy spirit has a good sence of humor

Only to Saint Francis.

EDIT: About the idiotic thumbs down I got here... Saint Francis would indeed roll around in the mud and with the pigs to prove how humble he was, ok? I know that since I was a kid. It's not my fault that you're ignorants.
