Pneumonia is no joke but at the same time,I often say to myself we spent so much money (doctors & hospital) when we can on the other hand find other ways
(remedies) to treat colds, pneumonia and certain illnesses.

this is an Irish remedies that my mom used on my brother and on her self when they had pneumonia.

2 ounces of water
2 ounces of vinegar
4 tables spoons of onion
1 clove of garlic
1/2 table spoon of cayenne pepper

make sure when you cut up the onion and garlick that you cut it up as tiny pieces as possible. you want to get all the essence of these foods to seep into the liquid as possible. you know the juices.

mix all this together in a jar. shake it well. let it sit for 2 hours. do not refrigerate it or heat it up just keep in in a jar at room temperature.

then sip about 4 ounces a day for about 2 weeks days it will clear you up completely.

you can make enough for 4 days. the ingredients i gave you is enough for one serving 4 ounces. but you can make enough for 4 days. just put it in a jar. quadruplet the ingredients let it stand for 2 hours before drinking it. then your all set.

the best things for you taste and smell god awful there's no way around that. so hold your nose and say a prayer when sipping the 4 ounces through the coarse of the day lol.

hope you feel better soon. and this works!

There is no home remedy for pneumonia - go back to your doctor! I had pneumonia 2 months ago and was put on antibiotics for 10 days - I too was not better after the 10 days were up, so I went back to the doctors and they put me on a stronger antibiotic for another 2 weeks. It finally went away. but it took me over a month to recover. My doctor said that if I did not go back to him, I would have ended up in the hospital. Please don't full around with this! Good luck!

fluids and rest is about the best that you can do since you have the meds. Take a hot bath and maybe the steam will help you breathe better too or hook up a vaporizer with vicks. Make sure you don't get chilled. If you are feeling worse, go to the ER.

My mom had pneumo-cocal(sorry don't know the spelling) pneumonia and nearly died. She was in a comma for 5 days. It's nothing to mess with. It was$100,000. later and no insurance! She was lucky that she pulled through.

I had pneumonia in 8th grade and it look me a month and a half to fully recover. The antibiotics are gonna be slow progress, unfortunately its not something that is gonna just pass over like a stomach flu. If you still feel super terrible after 2 weeks, go back to the doctor, he may have to give you stronger antibiotics if the ones you have now are not working.

Stay inside, do not go out if you have to. Try to refrain from any outdoor activities or sports, Pneumonia makes it hard to breathe and sux as it is...If you ignore bed rest and insist on going out and doing strenuous activities, you may only make your recovery take even longer.

putting the vicks vapor rub on your chest at night provides some comfort.

keep taking the meds. Watch after 2 or 3 days it will come up violently. I just had pneumonia a couple months ago. For some reason milk helped too.

Stay home and out on a fire if you've got one. Ask someone to put new bedsheets on your bed then g downstairs and curl up in front of the television with your duvet. Eat loads of fruit - and no bad stuff whatsoever. Basically chill. Don't do any work at all. Make sure you get 2 litres of water a day - try hot drinks as well. Make sure you are always warm and keep the house full of fresh air - but warm!

Get well soon =D

Getting over pneumonia takes a while. It is way too soon for you to be "well" yet. Hopefully, you are taking tylenol or ibuprofen for any fever, chills, discomfort and have increased your fluid intake. You may not feel any better until a day or two after you have finished your antibiotics. Rest as much as possible, increase your fluid intake. If after you finish your antibiotics and do not get better, you need to be seeing or at least talking with your doctor about it.

Oh my God, I just had to click this because my dad had pneumonia, too!

The docter gave him meds too, but they weren't working for him. So he did some research on the Internet and found out about Grapefruit Seed Extract.

You can get Grapefruit Seed Extract at Atkins (thats where he went) or another store similar to it. He said that he started feeling better the same day he started using it.

I hope this helps, good luck!

sounds like you don't have pneumonia....if they only gave you a script for 5 days...seems to me like they gave you z-pack. 2 pills the first day then 1 a day for 4 more days.....

pneumonia is achey, croupy type cough and they put you on meds for a few weeks....
