Probably poor phrasing but my cat LOVES my husband, which is nice because I never thought hed love anyone he's kind of a loner and a little mean at times, but every morning when my husband leaves for about half an hour my cat cries and makes this wailing sound. Is this something I should live with or will it go away in time do you think? We've only been married 6 months so I was thinking maybe he'd get use to him leaving/

You can pick up a bottle of the Bach flower essence Chicory at a health foods store for under $20. You just shake the bottle well and put three to four drops on the cat's fur. When your husband leaves the house and the kitty starts to whine put drops on him every 10 minutes. Use the drops on him in the morning for at least two weeks when he is exhibiting this behavior

My cat, Snicker, did the exact same thing. I even had to give my husband time to get out of site and open the door to show her that he wasn't standing outside. She'd look at me like I shut him out and it was my fault he was leaving. She never got used to it and she still cried for him but she was very happy when he came home. It is normal for animals to mourn their loved ones and as long as that person isn't taken from them they'll be fine. Try to get the cat to feel more comfortable in confiding in you after your husband leaves. If that is successful then it will be easier for both of you to handle. This is just something funny that happened but I'll tell you just to make you smile. One day Snicker actually got out the door without our knowing it and when my husband opened his truck door she jumped in the car and got in the passenger seat and he got all the way to work before noticing and I had to go get her. It was sweet and very cute. Good luck...

Sounds like Kitty is very very attached to your husband. I can understand he gets very upset when his Kitty Daddy leaves and he is left with Kitty Mummy, whose purpose in life is only to feed him and sanitize the poo pan. Cats are funny like that.

He will get over it. He might have been left somewhere once and thinks that your husband isn't coming back.

Just ignore the cat. Don't make a fuss, or Kitty will think his anxiety is justified. Just act all relaxed. In fact, if you sit down on the couch when your partner leaves, with a coffee, and yawn and get comfy, Kitty will probably relax a lot more. Don't make eye contact with Kitty, and see what he does.

i do no longer understand what you propose by using "potted" meat precisely. i does no longer purchase any canned meat (is that what you propose?) to grant them as those arranged meats are probable to be too salty or incorporate different issues that does no longer be good. you could fairly feed your cat uncooked meat, however the source of the beef could desire to be the two from an organic and organic source, or food market meat could be ok see you later because it is antibiotic unfastened. or you would be able to desire to look on the various styles of commercially arranged uncooked meats designed for cats or canines. many of the extra advantageous puppy shops will carry those - manufacturers alongside with Nature's form, Bravo, spouse..... Now, you could no longer purely commence plunking down uncooked meat on your cat to eat as a comfortable weight-help plan. it is an somewhat great weight-help plan for cats, yet you could desire to do your homework to make certain that the cat is receiving all the foodstuff it desires. uncooked meat on my own isn't sufficient - additionally they choose calcium from bones and in spite of the heck is in organ meats.

Mine do a similar thing.

The wife leaves for work, the cats go to the liquor cabinet, we have a small party (friends of the cats only, you understand), fall asleep in each others arms and get up as she comes home.

I love my cats, but I love their girlfriends more grrr...

Or should that be Purrr...

Well, most cats choose their owners. Looks like its more your husbands cat than yours. Theres no real way of stopping this.

well you could spray him with a bottle when he meows when ur husband leaves. when he comes back don't let the cats sit on him, just hug him or stay on him somehow. then the cats wont do anything.

I have the same prblem with my step dad and mom. My cats love my step dad.

hope i helped :D

Awwww. poor kitty. That's so cute. You'll just have to give him your hubby's pj's to snuggle up to every morning.

I'm sorry, but why are you asking this question? You are not the master of that house, your cat is. They get to do what they want, when they want. Bow down and beg for forgiveness!
