Does anyone recommend loaning to Kiva.org ?

I was thinking of loaning on kiva.org and wondered if anyone had done that successfully and whether it is secure

It is secure and it's an excellent organization. The New York TImes did a profile of this and a similar service a while back. Great way to help people in the developing world in a very direct way.
