In order to get to heaven, you need to confess your sins to God and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation - profess Christ as your Lord and Savior. That's all there is to it. :)
1 John 4:15 - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9-13 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 - For with the heart man believeith unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 - For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We get there through accepting Jesus as our savior, and realizing he died so that WE might have a chance. (what a verse is implying in the Bible) Witness not to a fool for they will not listen. The fool being the atheists in this case. If your atheist, you don't believe in God, Satan, or anything else to do with religion because you can't have one without the other. So why would an atheist take time to talk about something they know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about? Such as this question. Look at the atheist answers on here. Could you think of a better way to waste your time than trying to convince a Christian there is no God? Hahahaha, they really do amuse me sometimes :) but still I pity them for the Hell they will face.

Because everyone has their own personal beliefs and each person's interpretation of the Bible is different. There are many denominations, Mormons, Catholics, Muslim, etc. They all have their own beliefs. If you put two Catholics together you will find that they will disagree on something even if it's very minor. Only God is the judge and we should just do the best we can with ourselves and not worry about how others believe.

By accepting the lord Jesus. This means to say with your mouth aloud..."Lord you are the one and only. You went to the cross for me and died for me. You rose from the dead three days later." Basically, just let Jesus know you trust and believe in him. The only way through heaven is through Jesus.

What do you call Earth?
I think that is where many go wrong, if you believe that God created this planet, you think there is actually somthing better out there? We have this beautiful place with vast landscapes, abundant resources, varieties of creatures, and its the only one we know of in this universe, but we killed it, we ruined everything, this was it........let's spend less time figuring out how we get to heaven after we die and spend more time trying to save our planet while we live.

I'll build a stairway to Paradise
With a new step ev'ry day !
I'm gonna get there at any price;
Stand aside, I'm on my way !
I've got the blues
And up above it's so fair.
Shoes ! Go on and carry me there !
I'll build a stairway to Paradise
With a new step ev'ry day

what does it matter what others think. as long as you recognize Jesus, and be the best you can, that means trying your very best to treat others with kindness and have self respect, that is the basics, though if you want to get detailed; buy a bible, read it and use it to its maximum capability. you will find that youll feel better. I am a lattter day saint/ mormon of the church of jesus christ of the latter day saints, and i can honestly say that i feel good having a church so supportive of me and my small family. I am not cocasian like most mormons, niether do i have a ginormous family(like marie osmon) I have a small family and am Latina, I treat others with repect and have values and wisdom. take a look yourself , a church nearby, maybe youll find something. & I hope you find what you are looking for.

if you don't believe in Christ, you're not going to heaven, because you have nothing to look forward to. Your life might as well be living in a dark alley, because you don't have God's light shining down on you. And, if you're a non-believer and not baptized, you're not going to heaven anyway, because it's only through baptism that you may enter through the pearly gates and have everlasting life with The Creator.

You quoted the following words:
"I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes unto the father except by me......??? HE also said I am the doorway to heaven anyone who enters through me will have everlasting life".
Jesus Christ is saying my way is God's way as God told me, and those who will follow my told way will have life in Heaven. No one can achieve Heaven and God without following the way I am telling. Again Jesus is saying that following my way of life which I have learned from God will lead you to the door way of Heaven and he will have eternal life in Heaven.
I have no difficulty in understanding words of Jesus without making him god which he neither is nor clearly said.
Mohammad has lots of statements similar to the statements of Jesus Christ.
Think God sent Abraham, Moses, and Mohammad and calls
all of them Messengers and Prophets of God and teaching every one to worship God and none else. How and why God will enter in one Prophet's body and have him look like God. If He was God why He never called himself clearly that Iam God, worship none but me. As God has clearly told in Torah
and Qurna not once but over and over " worship none but me". Jesus himself worshiped Lord (Father) and instructed his followers to worship Loard (Father). If Jesus was God why he didn't said even once in Bible that He is God.
May God destroy me immediately and put me in hell if
I (Abdul Majeed) a Muslim and believer and worshipper of God Almighty if I am lying or trying to misguide you.
May God guide you and all us to the right path of God and all his Messengers including Jesus Christ because they all taught the one and same way of God and that is to worship God almighty and none else.

You know, a Muslim could make that same sort of comment in your direction. "It says _______ in the Quran, so why don't you just believe it? Hey, after all, it says it right there!" Yeah, OK, it might say it right there... but there's just one problem........ you don't believe in that book to begin with.
The answer to your question is pretty simple; some people just don't believe in the Bible. You might think their position on the Bible is incorrect, but that's not the point. The point is that, regardless of whether you think they're wrong or right, they don't believe in the Bible. They have different beliefs. That's really all there is to it.
