Well you just referred to him as "My Man" thats a great title for him, leave the boyfriend word out of it, it is a little juvenile. At 52, he may be popping the question soon and you will be calling him husband....

Nope, not too old to be called a BF!
My fiance's 72 year old Grandma talks about her boyfriends all the time!

How old are you? I'd say that it would be weird to call him your boyfriend if you are in your 20's or 30's.

I'd just call him your man or your significant other. Or, just say that you and him are together. Call him your sweetheart or something if you're uncomfortable with boyfriend. Companion is a good one.

do you mean is he too old for you? or too old for the term boyfriend? I'm gonna guess you mean the latter, and I can understand what you mean, the term "boyfriend" does seem somewhat juvenile and flaky or "un-serious" you could use the term "partner" instead.
