The engine requires 5 quarts. The filter requires just over 1/2 quart. So for a full oil change get 6 quarts

4.0L I6 takes 6 quarts. And strange as it may seem the V8's use 5 quarts. The first time I saw the numbers I did a double take, cause it seems backwards to me, but those numbers are correct. 5 Quarts in the I6 engine brings the level to the add mark.

need about 6 need to ad some oil on the filter before place it back wait till the filter absorbs the oil then tight it remenber the oil filter it have to be srewed inverse clock wise as the regular ones and place the drain plug back and put the oil then you are fine all set! good luck !!

If it's the 4.0 litre 6 cylinder engine that you have, six quarts.

On any car, anytime your not sure, put in 4 quarts. Wait awhile then check the stick. Add another quart, then check again.

Check your manual, It will be listed. I have to be careful when I get the oil changed because they always want to go by their book and they will overfil it.
