Okay...forget the stupid song. What if God turned himself into a human, just to see what it felt like, but then forgot to give himself the power to change back?

Wouldn't that explain a whole lot?

God was a vindictive bastard, so if that were the case; God would be a sadistic CEO of some apparel sweat shop. There would be no sick days, and minimal vacation time. He would make you work with the power out, during fires and floods. If you were hospitalized, you'd still have to come in the next day to work.

Wait, I used to work at that place.

Crap, I could have asked God a bunch of questions; but he wouldn't have remembered anyway.

I do think the general nature of this query is a bit silly.
Much like a college professor wanting to be in the mind of a 4 year old again, and staying that way...

He did become one of us and that is why I believe in a personal God.
Jesus never ceased to be God when He took on Himself our full nature so He did not have to "change back' but He resurrected in His human body

Huh, I always thought that Jesus was the Son of God. Since when did he usurp his Father as Supreme Being?

I've been toying with that idea for quite some time now... I'm not a Mormon, but they must be banking on the same idea...
But what about the infrastructure of the universe?

He was once. God was and is Jesus. God had put his own spirit in the body of a human (Jesus) and he had never sinned, he never fell for temptations...He did die for us though so we may inherit eternal life in the most glorious place of all; Heaven.
Where the streets are gold and it is peaceful all the time.

God already walks the earth in each one of us, but some of us can no longer realize it so we act in maladaptive ways. By injuring others, we are actually injuring different aspects of ourselves. Can't you feel the pain, or have you adapted to it?

Maybe the Universe has a dead man's switch.

If God isn't there all the time to push the button, the Universe will then self-destruct. Perhaps that will happen in 2012.

I thought the Abrahamic god did that in the whole god in a mansuit episode in Judea?
