I'll be honest, I'm eighteen and though I'm not bothered by sexuality in movies or the whatnot, I did find this website I consider fun and it has helped me figure out how much akward moments there would be a movie me and my boyfriend would see. It's kids-in-mind.com. It rates a movie on sexuality, violence, and language and give you details of each part that involves that.

I saw American Gangster and it is an excellent movie, although rather violent (as you most likely guessed). If you are ok with violence and some mild blood then it's a great movie.
The reason I would choose that one over the other two is because it's actually based on a true story and shows both sides as being both good and bad. It shows the consequences of actions will always catch up with you :)
I haven't heard about Hitman, but The Mist is pretty graphic (at least, the story is)

Honestly, even if you forbid him from watching them, he'll still end up watching them anyway. It's better to let him watch them with your consent.
BTW, I've watched Hitman and American Gangster and wasn't terribly bothered by either of them. Sure they have a little nudity and violence but what good movie doesn't? Not sure about The Mist so I can't help you out there...

Hitman - rated R for strong bloody violence, language, and some sexuality/nudity. I wouldn't let him see it.
The Mist - rated R for violence, terror and gore, and language. I might let him see it.
American Gangster - rated R for violence, pervasive drug content and language, nudity and sexuality... NO I wouldn't let him see it.
I'm alittle TORQUED that the MPAA doesn't hand out MORE NC-17 ratings.
I wasn't allowed to see an R-rated movie until I was 16.

Mayne The mist would be ok. But I myself personally would not let my kids go and see movies with guns and violence. I have 3 kids and dont let them watch movies like that. They have to much influence on young kids.

lol, you finally asked a reasonable question. is this the son who you still put in a car seat, bathe, and massage with lotion? (see her other questions) LOL
how would he get into the theater without someone who's 17+? according to your descriptions, he is 4'10, 80 lbs, immature, and looks like a 10 year old.
BTW, in one of your answers you said, "I have a 14 year old, and I wouldn't even allow him to watch the Invisible. He can RARELY watch a pg-13 rated movie, he can watch PG with MY supervision, and G in his own."

Depends on his maturity level. If you know him well and know that he is mature enough to understand the rights and wrongs and will not imitate any negative behavior in the movie, sure, why not. The more you censor something, the more he's going to want to watch it and he probably will do it in secret. Wouldn't you prefer to know and maybe hear from him what he thought, etc.?
