My dad just crashed the truck. He fliped over geting out of the freeway and now the truck is damajed.
The problem is that after waiting for a long time no police or highway patrol showed up. Will the insurance cover even though there was no police report? And the accident was individual, no other car was involved and he didnt hit nothing else.
(He has farmers insurance)

First piece of advice I'll give ya, is drop farmers, they are an awful insurance company. Second as long as he has coll coverage on his policy all is good. Veh is likely a total if it flipped over. But if it was a truck it may not be, since the only thing structural on a truck is the frame, unlike cars where the windshield, windshield frame, roof, door frames, trunk , etc are all structural parts. So it may be ok, if they can repair the roof, and other damaged areas, but most of the time roll overs are going to be total losses. He will be subject to his coll ded, and knowing farmers insurance as well as I do, they will raise his rates, because more then certain the damage is over a thousand dollars. Again drop em.. I am a claims adj, for another large insurance company in the midwest not FARMERS, but I deal with them at least once a week, and they always seem to care more about getting money out of there insureds, or telling there insureds to file with the other company then helping them out. No police report will really be needed if it was only one veh, and no injuries, alcohol, other property damage, or damage to the highway. As long as he called them all is good.. If he has injuries just file the claim, and go to the hospital, and give them teh claim number so they can bill Farmers, also use one of there direct repair shops, or I would recommend having them send out a Physical Damage Rep to look at the veh, if they haven't already, and if they want to total it, which they may, don't settle for the first offer they give, cuz what they'll do is figure out the NADA, or Blue Book on it, minus any prior damage, or interior damage, and then make you an offer.. If you tell them you want to keep it then they will call a local salvage yard and see what they could get for the veh if they sold it to them, they would then deduct that from the total they give you, so you'll get more if its totalled, and they keep it vs totalled, and you keep it, but not much more. There is always room for negotiation, and make sure if there were any new tires, or stereo equipment on the veh, make sure to tell them, so you get paid for it..

Most insurance companies require you to call them immediately if not sooner when you have an accident as part of the "terms of insurance". Most require a police report. The type of coverage will determine who, if anybody, will be responsible. Liability only coverage will not pay you for this incident. So, did you call them and do you have the right type of coverage?
Good luck.

call your assurance agent at present and document this. you will desire to have stated this while it took place. Reporting claims overdue is on no account a solid element. do not make it even later. Your belongings vendors coverage has 2 aspects that could word right here. scientific funds and felony accountability. scientific funds can pay for scientific costs incurred with the aid of others whilst on your belongings no rely if there is fault or not. This assurance has a decrease cut back between $500 and $5,000. that is decrease as fault or negligence does not would desire to be shown. there replaced into needless to say no fault with the aid of you to that end. This assurance in basic terms can pay for scientific funds, not misplaced wages. Then there is your felony accountability assurance. this saves you from felony accountability once you're at fault. This cut back is frequently between $one hundred,000 and $one million,000,000. For this to kick in, your pal needs to sue you. Now your neighbor who truthfully brought about this incident additionally might have felony accountability assurance and looks to be the guy maximum probable to would desire to pay. tell your "pal" to document this incident to his assurance corporation. yet to be secure, additionally document the incident on your assurance corporation. additionally, make specific your different friends who all observed this took place trust your area of the story. solid success!
