It is better to get them out when you are younger, like around 17/18. I didn't have mine out, and now I have to have full grown ones removed. My dentist said I would have saved myself a lot of trouble if I had it done sooner since most wisdom teeth should be removed, even if they grow in properly since they are really difficult to clean and basically end up getting horrible cavities. He said recovery goes much better when you are younger.

Also, my teeth are really messed up from my wisdom teeth pushing them. I am getting them removed in the next few months, and then I will have braces again at 24. I can do invisialign on top, but bottom has to have traditional braces.

I would think when the wisdom teeth are small. As long as they are not in-packed. When they are small they usually slip right out. When they grow bigger, there is more to take out and they can grow in many angles. Small is usually not that big of a deal. Especially uppers

Your dentist will keep an eye on this when you visit, so you don't need to worry about it. He'll let you know if it is a problem. It is unlikely that it will affect your alignment too much.

IT'S MUCH EASIER FOR THE ORAL SURGEON TO REMOVE THESE BEFORE THE ROOTS ARE FULLY FORMED AND ANCHORED. WISDOM TEETH CAN RUIN BEAUTIFUL SMILES AFTER ORTHO AS THEY ERUPT.
