I'm not 'stupid' and I know how to use a dictionary... to answer the one persons comment. I'm just annoyed with all the dust that has now relocated to my lungs.

The type of ground does not define a region as a desert, but the amount of precipatation. If there is little rainfall in an area, it is a desert; that is why Antarctica can be considered a desert, as it is too cold there to rain or even snow.

The dust in the Middle East is a pain when you have to breathe it in. They called it the Kuwaiti crud when I was there.
