I thought it was the pancreas but my anatomy book says the liver?

you are right it is the pancreas that insulin is produce in, the liver helps absorb the alcholic beverages that people drink, because it acts like a sponge for the body. So, the pancreas is the one that produces a hormone that create insulin from the foods that we eat for the body to use. Most people who are diabetic has a defenancy in which the pancreas is either producing too much insulin or too little, therefore there are medications that are perscribed by a medical professional in order to regulate the flow of insulin that the body produces.

Pancreas produces insulin. Insulin stimulates liver to convert glucose to glycogen. Maybe the book is wrong?

Yup, the pancreas produces insulin. Your anatomy book definitely doesn't say that (try looking again).

It is the pancreas. The pancreas comprises two main groups of glands - the exocrine and the endocrine. Endocrine glands produce hormones and they are made up of many types of cells- alpha, beta, delta, etc. The beta cells are the ones producing insulin.

the kidneys play a big role in absorption of glucose turning it into glocogen and is like a ferris wheel using what it can and storing the rest as fatty tissue until I can be burned off as fuel or stored as fat
