I recently answered a question about how to tell a child they are born sinners. I answered that I didn't believe they were, but it has continued to bother me. Does it mean that all children are born with the potential to become sinners, or does it mean that a baby who dies shortly after birth will go to Hell because it had somehow sinned? Like I've stated in my other religious beliefs question, I'm firm in my own religious beliefs and am just looking for information and understanding. Thanks!

I don't believe in this idea, I was just wondering if it is an actual belief held by some people. I do read the Bible, I read it cover to cover in High School.

Yes they believe that we are all born sinners, but that babies are not responsible for thier actions and are not old enough to accept Jesus as thier savior so they will go to heaven.
I know it doesn't make sense to me either but hey it works for them.

While earlier in Mark Jesus said that whoever receives a child, receives him, here he says that “the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” and that “whoever does not accept the kingdom like a child, will not enter it.”
You have to realize that over 1/2 the children born on the same day that you were born were dead by the time you reached the age of 5. Do you think heaven has room for these souls, or does God send them to hell? God is a God of Peace and Tranquility. That I believe with all my heart.

I was taught that all children get a 'pass' to heaven until they grow to reach the age of understanding right from wrong.
No I honestly don't believe tots and babies and little kids go to hell. They can't differenticate from what's right and wrong, that's why we're here to teach them.
No child is born a sinner, they are all born with a chance a chance to decide what type of person they want to be.

I believe that a child that has been born and died cannot go to hell because they do not ever have the chance to be saved. I think it cruel in general that God would create a hell for people to go to if they decide to not love him or believe in him, but a God that would send a baby to hell is just psychotic. I believe that only an evil entitiy would send babies or children to be tortured for eternity.

Where did you come up with this? Children and babies are not sinners. You must know what a sin is, before You can sin.. They are perfect and beloved of God..

We are born INTO SIN
BY SIN
and a child who itself is pure and knows not sin
cannot be held of a sin it didnt commit
and its MANS NATURE this FLESH which is SIN
and as one gets older and obtains knowledge of SIN, they have a choice to either
A..not do it...
or
B do it
and it takes Gods Mercy and Love and the desire of Him and His ways not too............
WE cant do it alone
thus why HE came as we are...
yet HIM wihout sin
or by the act of sin
so He like us could endure same as we do...thus able also the love and mercy and understanding of our infirmities !!
Thuis forever making intercessions for us cause of them !!!!!

Man has the tendency to sin. However, we are not born with Adam and Eve's sin.
More can be said about this topic.
GOD bless
