Forgiving and Forgetting are both difficult, but achievable in Christ's strength.
On R&S, we quote Scriptures. Go to a sociology site.

Great Question! For me forgiving is easier. I guess I realize that I have made plenty of mistakes, so I have often needed forgiveness.
To forget is really difficult for me however because I have a strong sense of survival. I do not want to get hurt again. So, forgetting is more difficult for me, but I do try not to let it influence me to much.

i some situations it is harder to forgive than to forget. example my cousin got mad at my sister because it was lots of controversy about my sister going with her husband and no one want to say they never slept together. when my cousin found out that even though they didn't sleep together it is still hard for her to forget, she told my sister that she will forgive her and her husband but it's hard to forget that someone you love could cheat on you and it's your own cousin caught up in the mix.

Neither, unless I can justify a good reason for forgiving, but I don't forget

Let it be written forever in my mind, for to forget is to set myself up to let it happen again, but I can forgive.
