it was kind of a summer fling and we had the best times together but after we drifted apart after he asked me out and i said no (1 year apart probably wouldnt work out) we dont talk as much but he ims me ocasionally and he just told me about a girl hes dating and hes always saying how other girls are pretty, what do you think hes trying to say?

He is totally tring to make you jealous. The exact same thing happened to me. (weird) You should just keep being nice to him. If you don't like him then ignore him and tell him you really dont care but, if you like him then you just be nice and talk to him about something else. Guys normally dont talk about girls with other girls. I think he really likes you but, is a lil heartbroken b/c you said no and trying to make you think he doesn't like you.

Sounds like the standard guy. Since you don't have a one to one arrangement between you, there's no reason he needs to not see or notice anyone. He's got a life and he's being a normal guy.
Whether you get jealous depends on how your securities are. He's not a committed boyfriend, he's dating someone else, so wanting him to forsake all female notice after dating you makes no sense.
