I think he means, is it actually a collective figment of everyone's imagination, or does it exist? I've seen some Bibles before, therefore I can tell you - it is real.

i don't know...
personally, i have a few problems with the bible- if it is real, if it's to be trusted, and the ideas. Like people can't be gay or they go to hell, etc. and so on and so forth.
bottom line= what you believe in.
