Just be polite.....You dont have to say she smells of urine...
Tell her maybe it her soap,perfume...ect
If you smelled you want someone to tell you.
Go out and get her bath and body stuff.....as a nice gift ...she will use it.Hope this helps a lil

If you want to tell her, be secure with yourself, be composed and calm, and let your body language show you're not unduly nervous or embarrassed.
Purchase a lovely smelling soap or bath powder, get close to her (like you love her) and, handing her the item, say, "Nan, I want to speak to you about something delicate . . . it's time to take a bath." Make sure she looks into your eyes, and sees the love there. Show her a tender expression, and hug or squeeze her gently.
Whew, best wishes.
You're a good person to take this step on her behalf. We need to demonstrate by actions that we care for our elders and their welfare.
If she gets upset, don't take it personally - she's upset with herself.

You don't tell her anything. Just when she is nearby, make comments like "what is that smell?" or "wow something really smells bad". You can bet if she smells that way, then she can smell it also, and will get the hint. Or she might have a bladder control problem, and wears those adult diapers, and she might not do anything about it at all.

Just say "Nan, I love you...but you smell funny, how bout a bath?" There is no polite way to tell someone they smell like piss!

Maybe there's a reason, so don't take it the hard way. Don't know the situation but you can make it nice and easy with a little conversation. How long has this been going on, and what part of the problem are you. She human, just like you, so give her a chance.

u didn't say how old she is but don't tell her. You might want to find out if she needs help with her baths. sometimes the elderly do not realize they smell. if you don't want to help her suggest to someone that will. I'm sorry but sometimes it is like dealing with a child and you have to be firm but gentle with them. good luck

It will definitely be hard, to tell anyone that... :~)

Just be honest w/ her and try to be gentle, you may have to
bite the bullet and try to offer her help and get her some type of nice smelling perfume or powder; is there anyone she trusts to help her clean up?
