I don't know if any branch will do that. I'm in the navy and as far as I know, they look down on GED's because it looks like you couldn't complete something and usually you don't get a GED and try to join the military because your smart and work hard. Usually your a drop out and you have ran out of options. This isn't guaranteed but I would get your diploma if possible. Though, I would think either army or marines would have a higher rate of people with a GED. tbh

Technically no branch of service will accept new recruits without H.S.D. or GED(federal law). It doesn't matter how high you score on the asvab test but occasionally if you do get a high score your recuiter can help you get it to speed up the process of enlisting. also sometimes once a year the army does allow certain recruits to enlist without a diploma as long as the recruit obtains their diploma within one(1) year. I enlisted my first term in December of 2000 on the last business day at MEPS without a Diploma and recieved it within 11 months.

all levels of education are associated to an education level, 111 is someone without a GED or HS diploma, 11S is a HS senior, 12L is a HS grad and so on.

right now the ARMY is NOT accepting 111's. we did last year but not right now.

as a US ARMY recruiter the only thing i would give you would be the information on how to get your GED and follow up with you in about a month to see if you had, if not terminate your name from my list.

nobody. you must have a GED or better before you can enlist.. and right now about the only one that takes GED is Army. CG and AF take ZERO, Marines and Navy take very few and you must score higher on the ASVAB. Even the Army you are restricted as to what is available to you.

Try the Army and the Coast guard. Some branches will accept the GED if you test a certain number on the ASFAB.

I know the Army will, I also believe the rest of the branches will also but I can't speak for them.

Army, and or the Marines!
I spent enough time in the AF to know they'll tell you to "Go get one and THEN we'll talk". The Navy's on the same page!

your recruiter for the army might help you, but you need to have your GED before you can enlist.
