It is not really the best remedy to get rid of the cold, but if you have horrible sinus pressure and congestion, it really helps to loosen things up and unclog the congestion. Instead of eating spicy food with chilli powder, buy some wasabi...it's a japanese horseradish root that is real spicy, after u mix it in your food, it really loosens all the congestion, and it's a root, so it is good for you. Almonds and ginger is good for you too! Hope u feel better real soon!

It definitely gets the "gunk" out, and clears those sinuses (depending on the spiciness of the food). I can't say 100% that it speeds up healing of a cold but I can't see where it would hurt, it's similar to what a decongestent does such as mucinex and most likely way cheaper. It doesn't hurt to try.

The oils modern-day in especially spiced ingredients is what causes the burning sensation. this is the reason water makes each thing worse, because the oil does no longer dissolve in water, yet instead receives spread round. i have self belief its observed as capsium, or some thing to that result. the in basic terms thanks to maintain away from this is to devour better especially spiced ingredients and advance an immunity to it. Or to end eating especially spiced ingredients. Your decision.

My homeopath healing friend swears by and lives by eating stewed or diced tomatoes with loads of cayenne pepper in them. Heat the mixture up in a pan and knock yourself out.

no. only your white blood cells doing their thing will kill a cold. spice won't make a difference, it does not increase an immune response
