Ok...Actually looking for an answer of mine in Turkey section, where I was saying that Hellas came by one definition from the Chinese who called it Country of Olive trees, and NOT finding it (did it get deleted? I was not saying anything bad. It was someone asking why is Turkey called Turkey.

So, I put a search for questions and came out with a lot. Then for Greece also. Well, the answer I had gotten on this question was right. Actually everything probably has been said, but we humans tend to need to repeat the "lessons". Ts!

But it is not bad to bring the subject once in a while! For those who do not know. We lack big on Marketing. How do you expect Tourism?
We should get on with new subjects then.
BTW I doubt this "abstinence" from my question is due to lack of interest. For sure!

From Ancient Greek Ελλάς (Hellas "Greece"), from prefix έλ- (el- "sun, bright, shiny", (elios, "sun")) + λάς (las "rock, stone"). Ελλάς: "The land of the sun and the rock".
