My chest tattoo definitely means the most.
It has the most emotion behind it, and every time I see it I feel so many different things.
It's all about reminding me that I can't be free to live my life if I keep blaming my parents for all the things that have happened to me (whether those things are their fault or not)
It's so difficult to forgive them and let things go, but I know I have to, and my chest piece helps me with that.
When I went in to get it, it was like the weight of the world was lifted off of me, and every time I look at it I feel a small bit of that peace.

the tattoo that means the most to me is the one i have on the center of my back, its a memorial tattoo for my baby brother that past away 6 years ago.
it was designed by me that way i knew no one would have the same one and also because he was like my child.
if you want to see a pic go to my space and looked me up under Mozzy
and look in my pic album

I only have one tattoo, and it means a lot to me.

The tattoo is on my right inner forearm and is a Masonic Square and Compasses. I am a Mason and very proud of the men I can call Brother.

I have a dragon on my right arm. It is a beautiful cover-up. Beneath it is a heart and banner with my ex-husband's name in it). The former tattoo is almost impossible to detect unless you know what you're looking for. My tattoo artist spent several hours with me picking out just the right design and then modifying it to fit our needs. We finished it just before my divorce was finalized. The dragon is facing toward my back and I like to think that he's watching out for the things that I can't see to protect me. (My ex husband was an abusive adulterer.)

I just got a gaurding angel tatoo on my upper leg. Most of my family passed on when I was very young. The rest of us have undured so many medical problems and got threw them. I myself had 2 heart surgerys before I was 30. I'm now 36 and a woman and I know someone is watching over us!

I’d have to go with my nautical stars, even though they’ve become trendy, and the chest piece that I’m working on, because they celebrate my heritage.
I come from a family of commercial fishermen, on both sides of my family, going back several generations. My mom’s family works mostly in the ocean while my dad’s family works mostly in rivers and sounds. I have a nautical star on my right arm in ocean blue to signify my mom’s family and one in a deep sea green to signify my dad’s family.

My chest piece is 2 swallows facing inward, flanking another nautical star, and it represents my immediate family. The swallows symbolize my dad and my brother, who spent most of their time at sea. Commercial fishing is considered one of the world’s most dangerous jobs. The star in the middle is for my mom, who is always at home waiting for their safe return.

It does kind of bother me that these are things that have become trendy, but they hold a lot of meaning for me, and I’ll still like them even after the trend dies out because of what they symbolize.
