Sneezing in small animals is usually a case of an allergic reaction to one of many things: the paper or shreddings you lay down as the bed, the food, the water, or the air in the room. The best thing to do is ask the pet shop for advice on how to care for your pet.

You never know... They don't usually live very long though, like 2 years. I'm sorry for your loss.
Hard to know what caused the sneezing.
