My brother's trying to get home from boot camp and i'm trying to book his flight back home from OKC to BWI but I want to get the cheapest ticket. Does anyone know what website to order tickets is the cheapest? I'm going to eat dinner while I blow off some steam for him not planning this a little better. Thanks for the help everyone

There are many sites to buy tickets. No site is always the cheapest. You have to check them all to find the cheapest. The one that is cheapest today might not be the cheapest tomorrow. Also, a site that is cheapest on a flight to one city might not be the cheapest to another city. Some good sites I use are:

www.travelocity.com
www.orbitz.com

Usually I find the best deals by going directly to the airline websites.

www.continental.com
www.southwest.com
www.aa.com
www.delta.com and so on

I've tried places like priceline.com and liked them but once I find the cheapest place and flight, I go directly to the airline's page. AA for instance, always has cheaper prices than the discount places for their own flights. So it's best to check the airline itself before buying just to make sure!

We planned a last minute flight across country and I found a direct flight over $100 cheaper than a search engine by going directly through the airline's site.

You can try www.wiitravel.com or www.findvacationsonline.com, they always give you the price with the taxes and fees upfront, and they do charge a booking fee, but that is included in the price, no surprises. You can get great rates from them because their advertising is word of mouth, they dont spend millions of dollars a week on ads like priceline so they can offer low rates, if you havent heard of them by now you will soon, they book through YTB.com, and use the same search engines as priceline and expedia.

I have had great luck with SIDESTEP. COM. They have a free download of a search site that goes to all the airlines and also goes to all the big agency names like Expedia. You give it a starting and ending airport and your travel dates. It comes up with a list of every flight on that route with a list in price-order. If you find one you like you click on it and get sent to the web site of the agency or airline offering that deal. You pay them not Sidestep.

I once called an airline about the fare I had booked through Sidestep and their customer service people were shocked how low the price was.

NONE.
You may try a real travel agency in your town, or the airlines' website directly.
First check which airline fly from OKC to BWI on the Orbitz, Expedia , etc..., then go to the airline website.

A really great website is www.skybus.com. They have plane tickets for (no joke) between around $35-$100- sometimes even less. I don't know if they have a stop where you plan on going, but it's at least worth a try!

Don't go to an online travel store - you pay a booking fee for that.

Try Continental, Delta & United - They have some $99 one way flights right now. (I didn't know a date - just plugged 12/12/07 - that's a wednesday) Good luck!
