how can my daughter sell 500 boxes of girl scout cookies ?

it is to cold to stand outside a Walmart and we do not have a lot of relatives or neighbors near by !!

Old fashioned door to door in a nice part of town with a good sales pitch (they make great gifts, and freeze well- why not order a year's supply?)

Take out ads in newsletters at school or church, or sell just outside

Get mom or dad to sell'em at work (the most common top seller trick)

Find a small ma and pa store of some sort that will order a bunch to resell

Find a local business that will buy a bunch to use as employee gifts

Set up a booth at a local college- college students are always hungry and usually a sucker for this sort of thing.

You may not have a lot of family or neighbors near by but I'm sure you do have family. I use to live in Hawaii and my niece lives in Utah. I would buy upwards of 3-4 cases from her at a time and my sister would just mail them to me (granted I had to also pay for the S&H and I love girl scout cookies and I havn't had any in a long time and look forward to my niece selling them again)

You can still ask your family if they would like some and then just hold the cookies for them.

Also, like everybody else said, you can take your order form to work and sell them that way. I know that a lot of companies have policies against selling stuff at work, i know my company does, but most bosses make exceptions for girl scout cookies.

When you go to church then put a bug in peoples ears that your daughter is selling girl scout cookies.

Start calling people in the phone book. Start wil A and go to Z. I'm sure you will run into some people that would love some girl scout cookies. And if they didn't want you to call then they wouldn't have their numbers in the phone book!

Also, you could by 500 boxes of cookies couldn't you?!

Is there a reason that you want her to sell 500? That is quite a big goal! How old is your daughter?

Selling cookies is like selling anything else, develop a marketing plan. Maybe she could go to some of the larger businesses in your area and see if the president or manager would buy one box for each employee - go right before lunch when people are hungry. If it is too cold to be outside, maybe there are malls or shops that will allow her to sell inside.

Part of the reason that girls sell cookies is to develop these types of business skills. If she is younger, maybe you want to bring the goal down a little. If she is older, work with her to develop a plan that works.

500 boxes? Really?? My girls are in girl scouts and we sell the cookies from a brochure. The people order them, then when the cookies come in, we deliver them and get the payment. And then after we sell that way, the troop gets together and sells more outside of stores, its cold where we live too and the girls just take turns outside. 500 boxes is very rediculous. but you can't just go outside any store and sell them, thats trespassing. You have to get permission from the store and make sure that-that certain store is okay to have girl scouts selling at, by girl scout standards.

They sold that many or more in the dorms

I know people who sell alot of cookies at work
Both the mother and father and some grandparents and aunts
