I think you need to clarify what you mean by easy. There is nothing that we can do to be saved- it cost Jesus His life- our salvation was paid for completely by Him, do you disagree with this- the hard part possibly is accepting the fact that we are sinners- Being saved is free to us, living for Christ is what may cost us.

I don't know. Perhaps they desire it to be easy. However, the Bible says at Matthew 10:22 he that endures to the end will be saved. So that let's know that it will not be easy. The Bible speaks of two roads: one which is broad and spacious and many are on it leading to destruction, the second road is cramped and narrow and few are on it leading to life.

i dunno, i thought it was pretty easy. the time after wasn't, because of resistance from the Enemy, but getting saved was wonderfully smooth. I was Wiccan for years, active on this site, answering questions favoring paganism. then a couple months ago, I found the Lord, my savior. And I found it quite simple. The aftermath, maybe not.... depending on what you were like before.

It’s not easy to trust anybody you don’t want to trust, no matter how good the person is worthy of being trusted. But it’s easy for people whose heart is less cluttered for God. It’s a heart issue.

Excellent question. I have had a lot of Christians tell me that Jesus's gift of savlation is so easy and so free. They imply that it is almost effortless. However, when I start questioning them about it the "fine print" comes out and it is not so easy and not so free.

To me this is what salespeople call "bait and switch".

One of the reasons I've never bought into it.

A lifelong commitment to something which can't be proved, only rationalized is quite a sacrifice and therefore not easy at all.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

Ask forgiveness, accept Jesus as your Saviour, and then, try to live your life as Jesus would want you to. We are saved by Grace (the unmerited favor of God), but we are expected to study and grow in the faith. When we are truly saved, that desire to please God comes naturally.
