the less wise we become?

I believe it's more like, the more we learn, the more we realize how limited our knowledge is, or, the more experience we have, the more we realize how narrow our perspective is. There is wisdom in discovering that we aren't half as clever as we thought.

Because the more wise we become..the less we think we need to listen to anyone and learn anything new..we think we know it all..and in not listening to new thoughts and ideas we tend to lose our wiseness.

Not true. If we were truly becoming more wise we would stay that way.

It's not the less wise we become, it is that the wiser we become, the more we REALISE how unwise we are.

You tend to forget the lessons you learned or you are willing to defy the obvious consequences of your actions. In other words, we know better but just do not care.
