I don't believe that in the shows history that that has every happened. I've seen some where they were just a few hundred dollars off, but never perfect. I know that they would win both show cases, but would any additional thing occur?

I don't think that has happened, but if a contestant gets the price exactly, that contestant not only gets both showcases, but that person could get extra money as well, how much, who knows.

Yes, they would win BOTH showcases.
here is a ? posted to the CBS website concerning the game.

Q: Have any bidders ever bid the EXACT amount of the prize they were bidding on in the showcase showdown?
A: No one has ever bid exactly on the nose for his/her showcase. The closest was $1.00 away.

Q: I have a question that my friends and I have been wondering about for years. During the Showcase Showdown, if two contestants bid - within $250 of the actual retail price of their showcases AND - the same amount less than the actual retail price (example: both are $50 less than the actual retail price) How is this situation handled?
A: It has never happened, but if both contestants are $50 away from their own showcase, then both contestants would win both showcases.

Q: If both contestants in the showcase showdown are within $100 dollars without going over do they both win? Has this ever happened? Thanks in advance for settling a kind wager between friends.
A: The answer is no. First of all, the rules have changed. Contestants must come within $250 without going over. If two contestants both come within $250 or less, the one who is closer to his/her showcase wins both showcases. For example, if Mary bid $10,000 on her showcase and the price of her showcase is $10,125 than she is $125 away. If Joe bid $12,000 on his showcase and the actual price of his showcase is $12,110 than he is $110 away. Therefore, Joe is closer and he wins both showcases. Poor Mary doesn't win anything!
